As part of the celebration of National Children’s Month, SM City Dasmarinas is having a Halloween Special for kids on October 31, 2009.
Superheroes, Villains and Enchanting characters come to life as SM City Dasmarinas celebrate Halloween Costume parade, contest and trick or treating for kids. Kids can purchase a pumpkin basket from halloween booths at sm department store and receive trick or treat goodies from participating mall tenants. Kids can dress up in their scariest and most creative Halloween costume and have a chance to win P 6,000.00 for the Best Superhero Costume, P 3,000.00 for the Most Enchanting and P 3,000.00 for the Best Villain Costume.
The party will kick off with the grand costume parade around the mall at 2pm along with the Trick or Treat at 11am. Costume Party will start at 3:00pm and will culminate with the announcement of the costume contest winners.

The 4th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge In SM City Dasmarinas
95 Math and Sudoku enthusiasts from region 4 grabbed their opportunity and joined the 4th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge regional eliminations last October 17, 2009, Saturday held at activity area, SM City Dasmarinas, Cavite.
SM in partnership with Mathematics Trainer's Guild and Business Mirror declared Kezia Villareal (wizard division) a Highschool student of Canossa Academy of Calamba and Candice Beatrice Solidarios (wizkid division) an elementary student of Integrated Montesorri school as winners of the regional Sudoku super challenge eliminations.
Sudoku, a popularized game by a Japanese puzzle company in 1986, is a logic-based combinatorial, number-placement puzzle. Sudoku, in Japanese, literally means "single number." The game's primary objective is to complete the 9x9 grid so that each row, and each 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 without repetition.
